PAPILLON IS NOW TAKING BOOKINGS FOR 2021
Open since 2018, Papillon is situated on the North-West coast of Skye in the crofting community of Harlosh, a few miles from the village of Dunvegan, and Dunvegan Castle. Ideally located for touring Skye and all it has to offer.
We are James and Rachel and along with our young son Toby offer a warm welcome to guests staying in either the Loft area of our family home or later this year the new Tin House apartment.
We are proud to have won a Tripadvisor Travellers Choice award in 2020 thanks to the encouraging feedback from guests.
All guest rooms enjoy stunning views overlooking Loch Vatten and the Macleods Tables Mountains.
Papillon is surrounded by Loch Vatten on two sides and croftland on the the other two sides. Wildlife is in abundance with seals sunning themselves on the rocks of the loch and dolpins swimming in the loch, rabbits grazing the garden and a huge variety of birds including Buzzards, Merlins, Oystercatchers, Geese, Pippets and Tits to name a few. White Tailed Sea Eagles have also been seen from the house.
A warm welcome awaits you at Papillon where you will enjoy a homely base for your time exploring the wonderful Isle of Skye. Whether you are coming for the walking, to explore the rugged wilderness or to see the sights, we have books, maps and guides to help you make the most of your time on Skye and can also provide recommendations on the best cafes and restaurants.
Our Loft at Papillon is currently run as 2 ensuite bedrooms including bed and breakfast. Later this summer after some renovations it will be available to be booked as a 2 bedroom self contained apartment with lounge and kitchen area and all the comforts you've come to expect and great views over the loch and mountains to start the day.
Free parking is available for guests at the property
At Papillon we endeavour to try to be as eco friendly as we can in what we deliver including no single use plastics, re-fillable shower toiletries and eco friendly products used for housekeeping.
