Travelling by car

If you are travelling from the north and Inverness you are probably going to approach the island via the Skye Bridge (there is no toll).

Due to limited mobile phone signal on Skye it is best to download googlemaps before you travel to us

If you are approaching from the south you have two options; either the drive via Glen Garry or via the Mallaig ferry. The B&B is 96 miles (2hr drive) from Fort William,(This doesnt include the time for the ferry crossing) incorporating the ferry journey or 125 miles (2hr30mins drive) from Fort William, via the scenic Glen Garry and Shiel Bridge route.

By ferry
Arriving from the south and on the ferry is a wonderful way to approach the Sleat peninsula. Caledonian MacBrayne operate the Mallaig to Armadale ferry all year round.

If you are coming via the Mallaig to Armadale Ferry please ensure you have booked your ferry in advance as they get very busy. Also, if you miss your ferry the de-tour to reach us via the Skye bridge is quite lengthy.
